Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct daily fleet activities, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods across the greater Los Angeles area.
- Maintenance Management: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
- Cost Control: Analyze fuel consumption and operational costs to implement strategies that reduce waste and improve profitability.
- Driver Management: Recruit, train, and mentor drivers, fostering a culture of safety and professionalism.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in fleet management software (e.g., Samsara, Fleetio) and route optimization tools.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
- License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
