We are looking for a results-oriented Fleet Operations Manager to lead our transportation division. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the daily operations of our growing fleet, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will act as the bridge between our drivers, maintenance team, and logistics planners to optimize route performance and reduce operational costs.

Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily scheduling, routing, and dispatching to ensure timely deliveries and optimal resource utilization.
- Maintenance Management: Develop and enforce preventative maintenance schedules to minimize vehicle downtime and extend asset life.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, and company safety policies.
- Cost Control: Analyze operational expenses (fuel, tires, repairs) and implement strategies to reduce costs without compromising service quality.
- Team Management: Mentor and lead a diverse team of drivers and dispatchers, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Data Analysis: Utilize fleet management software and telematics data to identify trends, track KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with third-party maintenance providers and truck leasing companies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in fleet management, logistics operations, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred. Familiarity with DOT regulations and FMCSA compliance is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in fleet management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Geotab) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by operational demands.
