Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight: Develop and implement comprehensive fleet maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
- Cost Control: Analyze fuel consumption and operational expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize budget allocation.
- Compliance Management: Ensure strict adherence to DOT regulations, OSHA safety standards, and local traffic laws.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with third-party mechanics and logistics vendors to secure high-quality service.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise a team of dispatchers and logistics coordinators to drive productivity and morale.
- Route Optimization: Utilize data analytics to design efficient delivery routes that reduce fuel consumption and delivery times.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in fleet management, logistics coordination, or transportation operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in fleet management software (e.g., Fleetio, Geotab) and data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex logistical issues in real-time.
- CDL: Current Commercial Driver's License is a plus.
