In this pivotal role, you will serve as the bridge between our operational teams and our advanced Transportation Management Systems (TMS). You will leverage your analytical prowess to reduce costs, improve delivery times, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics, including fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, and delivery timeliness.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to optimize route planning and reduce operational overhead.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving strategies and process improvements.
- Ensure strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.
- Generate detailed reports for senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct regular audits of driver logs and vehicle documentation.
- Identify and troubleshoot logistical bottlenecks to ensure seamless supply chain flow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics coordination, or transportation operations.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL) and experience with TMS software (e.g., HighJump, Manhattan Associates) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety compliance protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of liaising between drivers, dispatchers, and upper management.
