  • Develop and cost seasonal menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
  • Train, mentor, and inspire a brigade of 20+ culinary professionals.
  • Manage food cost controls, inventory procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with health, safety, and sanitation protocols.
  • Execute complex catering and private dining events with flawless precision.
  • Monitor and minimize food waste through creative utilization and inventory management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end, fine-dining restaurant environments.
  • Proven track record in a leadership role (Sous Chef or equivalent).
  • In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and global cuisines.
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and food cost percentage analysis.
  • Exceptional ability to remain calm and decisive under extreme pressure.
  • Current New York City Food Protection Certificate.
  • Degree from an accredited culinary arts institution preferred.
