Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu development and seasonal recipe creation.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency in presentation and flavor profiles.
- Manage inventory, food costs, and procurement to maintain strict budgetary targets.
- Train and mentor junior culinary staff on advanced techniques and kitchen safety standards.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation records in compliance with local and federal health regulations.
- Coordinate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless dining experiences.
- Conduct weekly performance audits to optimize kitchen efficiency and minimize waste.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record in a high-volume, upscale or fine-dining environment.
- Deep understanding of cost control, P&L management, and kitchen administrative tasks.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- Advanced knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and culinary techniques.
- Culinary degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a creative approach to plate aesthetics.
