As our Executive Sous Chef, you will work hand-in-hand with our Executive Chef to design menus, mentor our kitchen staff, and ensure every plate leaving the kitchen meets our exacting standards of perfection.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and direct the culinary team during high-volume service.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on seasonal menu development and recipe costing.
- Maintain impeccable food safety standards and kitchen sanitation protocols.
- Manage inventory, food procurement, and vendor relationships to minimize waste.
- Train and mentor junior culinary staff on advanced techniques and kitchen efficiency.
- Monitor food quality and plate presentation for every dish served.
- Ensure labor costs remain within budgetary guidelines without compromising service quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an upscale or fine-dining environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing a diverse culinary brigade.
- In-depth knowledge of modern cooking techniques and flavor profiles.
- Current ServSafe Manager Certification required.
- Strong understanding of food cost control and inventory management software.
- Exceptional ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Degree from an accredited culinary institution is highly preferred.
