Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal menus that showcase premium local ingredients
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 15+ culinary professionals
- Ensure impeccable food quality, presentation, and consistency across all stations
- Manage inventory control, cost analysis, and vendor relationships
- Collaborate with beverage director to create harmonious food-pairing experiences
- Oversee kitchen sanitation and maintain HACCP compliance
- Drive culinary innovation while respecting restaurant's heritage
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive culinary leadership in Michelin-starred establishments
- Proven expertise in contemporary American cuisine with farm-to-table philosophy
- Exceptional knowledge of ingredient sourcing, sustainability practices, and culinary trends
- Strong financial acumen in P&L management and cost control
- Excellent communication and team-building skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Culinary degree from accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Valid NYC Food Protection Manager certification
