Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal menus featuring hyper-local ingredients
- Lead kitchen staff of 15+ with emphasis on mentorship and skill development
- Manage food costing, inventory control, and vendor relationships
- Collaborate with beverage director on wine pairings and tasting menus
- Ensure HACCP compliance and maintain 5-star hygiene standards
- Drive culinary innovation while honoring regional traditions
- Oversee special event catering and private dining experiences
Qualifications
- 10+ years progressive culinary experience with 3+ as Executive Chef
- Classically trained with modern farm-to-table expertise
- Proven success in high-volume, upscale dining environments
- ServSafe certification and advanced food safety knowledge
- Strong financial acumen in P&L management and cost control
- Exceptional leadership and team development skills
- Portfolio showcasing innovative menu development
- Knowledge of Austin's culinary landscape preferred
