Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative seasonal menus aligned with restaurant concept and guest expectations
- Lead, mentor, and train kitchen staff (15+ team members) in culinary techniques and best practices
- Manage food inventory, cost control, and vendor relationships to ensure profitability
- Ensure strict adherence to health/safety regulations and maintain HACCP compliance
- Collaborate with front-of-house team to create seamless guest experiences
- Contribute to menu engineering and recipe development for new concepts
- Oversee kitchen operations during peak service hours
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years progressive experience in high-volume, fine dining establishments
- Culinary degree from accredited institution or equivalent apprenticeship
- Proven track record of menu development and cost management
- Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire and develop diverse teams
- Deep knowledge of Midwestern ingredients and sustainable sourcing
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities under pressure
- ServSafe certification required
