Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and execute seasonal menus featuring hyper-local, sustainable ingredients
- Lead kitchen staff of 15+ with rigorous training programs and mentorship
- Manage inventory control, cost analysis, and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with NYC health codes and HACCP protocols
- Collaborate with beverage director on food-pairing initiatives
- Oversee kitchen renovations and equipment upgrades
- Represent the restaurant at culinary events and media features
Qualifications
- 10+ years progressive experience in fine dining kitchens
- Proven track record of earning Michelin recognition or equivalent accolades
- Advanced culinary degree from accredited institution or equivalent apprenticeship
- Expertise in sustainable sourcing and farm-to-table practices
- Strong financial acumen with P&L management experience
- ServSafe Manager certification required
- Exceptional leadership and cross-departmental communication skills
