Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Conduct risk assessments and industrial hygiene audits for chemical handling processes
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis using TapRooT methodology
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Manage hazardous waste permitting and EPA compliance documentation
- Coordinate emergency response drills and crisis management protocols
- Analyze EHS data using Power BI to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or Industrial Hygiene
- 5+ years EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CHMM certification required
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, ProcessMAP)
- Demonstrated experience with EPA Tier II reporting and SPCC plans
- OSHA 501 certification or equivalent hazardous materials training
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven safety program development
