Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct regular workplace audits and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Lead emergency response planning and crisis management protocols for industrial facilities
- Manage hazardous waste disposal, air quality monitoring, and environmental compliance reporting
- Deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple sites
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate sustainable design principles into operations
- Track KPIs and prepare executive reports on EHS performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of EHS management experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Professional certifications: CSP, CHMM, or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor required
- Expert knowledge of federal/state regulations (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ)
- Proven track record in reducing incident rates by 30%+
- Advanced data analysis skills using EHS software platforms (e.g., Cority, Intelex)
- Strong project management abilities with multi-site coordination experience
- Excellent communication skills for training diverse stakeholders
