Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Environmental Health & Safety management system (EHSMS) aligned with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Manage the investigation of all workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, including annual environmental compliance reports and safety statistics.
- Deliver comprehensive safety training programs for all employees, including new hires, supervisors, and contractors.
- Collaborate with management to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and production workflows.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and Lost Time Injury (LTI) to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field required.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910) and EPA regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex safety data and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct effective training sessions.
- Proven track record of successfully leading safety culture transformations.
