EcoCore Industrial Solutions is seeking a dynamic Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to spearhead our sustainability and safety initiatives in Houston. In this role, you will define the safety culture, ensure rigorous regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence across our manufacturing facilities.
You will work directly with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks, optimize environmental performance, and champion our commitment to 'Zero Harm.' This is a high-visibility position ideal for an EHS professional who thrives on strategy and hands-on site engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
- Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis to implement corrective actions effectively.
- Coordinate employee training programs on hazardous waste, emergency response, and machine safety.
- Manage environmental permits, air emissions, and wastewater reporting for state and federal compliance.
- Partner with facility leadership to promote a culture of proactive safety and continuous improvement.
- Oversee contractor safety management programs and onsite vendor compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in EHS within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) designation preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
- Proven ability to influence management and drive behavioral safety programs.
- Strong technical writing skills for safety audits, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and EHS management software platforms.
