Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA standards
- Conduct facility audits and risk assessments for chemical manufacturing operations
- Lead emergency response planning and incident investigations
- Manage hazardous waste disposal and air/water quality monitoring systems
- Train employees on safety protocols and environmental compliance requirements
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies (EPA, TCEQ) and maintain reporting documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using leading/lagging EHS metrics
- Oversee sustainability goals including carbon footprint reduction and waste minimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of EHS management experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CHST designation required
- Expert knowledge of EPA regulations, TCEQ standards, and OSHA 1910 standards
- Proven experience implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Strong data analysis skills with experience developing EHS KPI dashboards
- Texas-based regulatory agency relationship experience preferred
