Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for post-cardiac surgery patients
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, vital signs, and hemodynamic parameters
- Administer medications and perform specialized procedures (IV insertion, central line care)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health management
- Document clinical observations accurately in Epic EHR system
- Participate in rapid response team activations
Qualifications
- Current NY State RN license required
- BSN degree with 2+ years acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EHR documentation
