Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to implement corrective actions
- Conduct facility audits and ensure compliance with federal/state environmental regulations
- Design and deliver employee training programs for hazardous material handling and emergency response
- Oversee waste reduction initiatives and sustainability reporting to achieve carbon neutrality goals
- Manage EHS budget allocation and ROI analysis for safety equipment upgrades
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process safety management (PSM) implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or petrochemical industries
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification
- Expert knowledge of EPA, OSHA, TCEQ, and DOT regulations
- Proven track record implementing successful behavioral safety programs
- Advanced data analysis skills using EHS software platforms (e.g., Cority, Enviance)
- Strong experience with industrial hygiene monitoring and risk assessment methodologies
