Responsibilities
- Design and implement corporate-wide EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans
- Manage environmental permitting, air/waste compliance monitoring, and sustainability reporting
- Develop engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across 12 facilities
- Conduct industrial hygiene audits and ergonomic assessments
- Oversee hazardous materials handling, spill response, and emergency preparedness
- Collaborate with operations leadership to integrate EHS into business processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years EHS experience in heavy industry/manufacturing (oil & gas, chemicals, or energy sector)
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) and/or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) credentials
- Expert knowledge of EPA, OSHA, TCEQ, and DOT regulations
- Proven experience developing EHS metrics and leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Cority, Enablon)
- Excellent leadership abilities with demonstrated mentorship of EHS teams
