Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Conduct regular facility audits and risk assessments to identify hazardous conditions
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis using 5-Why methodology
- Manage hazardous waste disposal programs and regulatory reporting (EPA, TCEQ)
- Coordinate emergency response drills and crisis management protocols
- Mentor EHS team members and deliver engaging safety training programs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven KPIs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM certification required
- Expert knowledge of federal/state regulations (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ)
- Proven track record in developing EHS management systems
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated team development success
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
