Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS strategy aligned with corporate goals and local regulations.
- Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Lead training programs and workshops to raise safety awareness among employees at all levels.
- Oversee environmental reporting, waste management protocols, and carbon footprint reduction initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and internal stakeholders regarding compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) as an EHS Manager or Officer within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hold a recognized professional qualification such as NEBOSH National Diploma, NEBOSH General Certificate, or IOSH Managing Safely.
- Relevant degree in Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and data analysis tools.
