Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to drive continuous improvement
- Manage environmental compliance programs including air/water permits, waste management, and spill prevention
- Design and deliver engaging safety training for 500+ employees across 5 facilities
- Oversee ergonomic assessments and PPE optimization to reduce workplace injuries
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies (EPA, TCEQ) during audits and reporting cycles
- Drive sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction and circular economy practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) and/or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) credentials
- Expert knowledge of EPA, OSHA, TCEQ, and DOT regulations
- Proven success leading multi-site EHS transformations
- Advanced data analysis skills using EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Strong ability to influence leadership and drive cultural change
- Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB)
