Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) strategies aligned with international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with local regulations (e.g., MEWR, MOM) and corporate policies.
- Lead the investigation of accidents, near-misses, and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage EHS training programs and emergency response drills to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement among all employees.
- Prepare and submit mandatory regulatory reports, environmental permits, and compliance documentation to government authorities.
- Collaborate with operations to integrate safety into production processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CIEH) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in EHS management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore’s Environmental Protection and Management Act (EPMA) and Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and implement effective control measures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
