Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Manage hazardous waste compliance and air quality monitoring programs
- Conduct regular safety audits and training for 500+ employees across multiple sites
- Oversee environmental permitting and regulatory reporting (EPA, TCEQ)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven safety metrics
- Coordinate emergency response protocols and crisis management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years EHS management experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
- OSHA 501 certification and CHMM or CSP designation
- Expertise in Texas environmental regulations and federal EPA compliance
- Proven track record reducing TRIR rates by 30%+
- Advanced skills in EHS software (SAP EHS, Enablon)
- Strong knowledge of industrial hygiene and PPE program management
- OSHA 30-hour certification and CPR/First Aid instructor credentials
