Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead environmental compliance programs including air/water permits, waste management, and spill prevention
- Conduct workplace safety audits and incident investigations using root cause analysis methodologies
- Manage hazardous materials handling and emergency response protocols per 29 CFR 1910.120
- Oversee sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint tracking and circular economy practices
- Deliver engaging safety training programs using VR simulation technology
- Prepare regulatory reports for EPA, TCEQ, and OSHA with 100% accuracy
- Mentor EHS specialists and coordinate cross-functional safety committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial setting
- OSHA 501 certification and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation required
- Expert knowledge of EPA regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA) and Texas environmental statutes
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, or ProcessMAP)
- Proven experience developing ISO 14001 environmental management systems
- Strong data analysis skills with ability to interpret environmental monitoring data
- OSHA 500 instructor certification or equivalent training credentials
