Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Conduct comprehensive workplace audits and incident investigations with root-cause analysis
- Lead hazardous waste management programs including RCRA compliance and spill prevention
- Design employee safety training programs with 95%+ participation rates
- Monitor air/water quality using real-time IoT sensors and regulatory reporting
- Manage emergency response protocols for chemical and environmental incidents
- Collaborate with engineering teams on sustainable facility design and LEED certification
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years EHS experience in manufacturing or petrochemical industries
- OSHA 501 & 510 certifications plus CIH or CSP designation
- Expertise in EPA compliance (TSCA, CERCLA) and waste minimization
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA PSM, HAZWOPER, and DOT regulations
- Proficient in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, or VelocityEHS)
- Strong data analytics skills for EHS KPI reporting and trend analysis
- OSHA VPP Star Site management experience preferred
