Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS programs to ensure 100% compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Manage environmental permitting processes, including air emissions, wastewater discharge, and hazardous waste disposal.
- Lead safety training programs for all personnel to foster a proactive and inclusive safety culture.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders regarding environmental and safety compliance.
- Analyze safety metrics and performance data to report progress and continuous improvement strategies to senior management.
- Coordinate emergency response planning and drills to ensure site readiness for all potential scenarios.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS role.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
- Proven ability to influence organizational culture and lead cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with EHS management software and reporting tools.
