You will be instrumental in developing robust strategies that protect our employees, minimize our environmental footprint, and ensure full compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
In this role, you will work across departments to foster a proactive safety-first environment, lead incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement in our sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive EHS programs and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
- Lead root-cause analysis for all safety incidents and develop effective corrective action plans.
- Facilitate employee training programs, including hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency response procedures.
- Manage environmental permits and oversee waste management, air emissions, and water discharge reporting.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to integrate safety protocols into daily production workflows.
- Prepare and present monthly EHS performance metrics and KPIs to the executive leadership team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in an EHS role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive safety culture.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in EHS software platforms and incident management systems.
