Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and audit comprehensive EHS policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-specific environmental and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
- Lead safety training programs for all levels of staff, fostering a proactive safety culture.
- Oversee hazardous waste management and environmental reporting (Tier II, TRI, Air Permits).
- Coordinate emergency response planning and lead drill exercises.
- Manage EHS budget and procurement of safety equipment and industrial hygiene services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS leadership role.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification preferred.
- Deep understanding of Federal and Texas state environmental and safety laws.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change.
- Strong technical writing and reporting skills for regulatory submissions.
- Ability to travel up to 15% between regional facility sites.
