Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs to ensure 100% regulatory compliance.
- Lead root-cause analysis for all safety incidents and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
- Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and environmental impact studies.
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ) and coordinate all site inspections.
- Facilitate high-impact safety training programs to foster a proactive 'safety-first' culture.
- Monitor and report on key EHS performance indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership.
- Spearhead sustainability initiatives to reduce waste, water consumption, and carbon footprint.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience, preferably in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Professional certification required (CSP, CIH, or CHMM).
- Deep expertise in OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive cultural change.
- Strong technical proficiency in EHS management software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
