Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive EHS programs, ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-specific regulations.
- Conduct rigorous site audits and risk assessments to proactively identify and eliminate workplace hazards.
- Direct the emergency response planning and lead incident investigation teams to perform root cause analysis.
- Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies, external auditors, and insurance representatives.
- Facilitate high-impact safety training programs to foster a culture of behavioral-based safety across all departments.
- Monitor environmental performance metrics, including waste management, air emissions, and water usage, to ensure ESG goal alignment.
- Manage EHS documentation systems and reporting cycles for executive leadership reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in industrial EHS management.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM certification highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of Title V air permitting and hazardous waste management protocols.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive safety initiatives at all levels of an organization.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and EHS management software platforms (e.g., Enablon, Intelex).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent the company professionally during government inspections.
