EcoCore Solutions Group is seeking a high-impact EHS Manager to oversee our health, safety, and environmental compliance programs. In this role, you will lead the charge in cultivating a culture of safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving environmental stewardship across our flagship Houston facilities.
You will collaborate with senior leadership to implement industry-leading safety protocols and sustainability initiatives that protect our people and our planet.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS policies and programs to ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Lead root-cause investigations for all incidents and near-misses, providing actionable insights to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver engaging safety training programs and workshops to staff at all levels of the organization.
- Manage environmental permits, waste disposal protocols, and emission monitoring systems.
- Act as the primary liaison with external regulatory bodies, insurance auditors, and local environmental agencies.
- Track and report key EHS performance metrics (KPIs) to the executive leadership team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an EHS leadership role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) is strongly preferred.
- Deep working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (OSHA/EPA/TCEQ).
- Proven track record of building effective safety cultures and influencing organizational behavior.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into operational strategy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
