Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive EHS policies and programs to ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Lead root-cause investigations for all incidents and near-misses, providing actionable insights to prevent recurrence.
  • Deliver engaging safety training programs and workshops to staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Manage environmental permits, waste disposal protocols, and emission monitoring systems.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external regulatory bodies, insurance auditors, and local environmental agencies.
  • Track and report key EHS performance metrics (KPIs) to the executive leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an EHS leadership role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) is strongly preferred.
  • Deep working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (OSHA/EPA/TCEQ).
  • Proven track record of building effective safety cultures and influencing organizational behavior.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into operational strategy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
