Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular facility audits and risk assessments to ensure 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis to implement effective corrective actions.
- Manage environmental permitting processes, including air quality, hazardous waste management, and wastewater discharge.
- Facilitate high-impact safety training programs for all staff levels to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership to drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee emergency response planning and lead the site emergency response team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in EHS leadership within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) highly preferred.
- Expert-level knowledge of OSHA 1910 standards, EPA regulations, and ISO 14001/45001 frameworks.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive cultural change.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of navigating complex regulatory dialogues and safety advocacy.
