Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs to ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
  • Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive a proactive safety culture through training programs, workshops, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee environmental reporting, including air emissions, wastewater management, and hazardous waste disposal.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles into new capital projects.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, insurance carriers, and external auditors.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership to drive organizational safety maturity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in EHS management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Professional certification (CSP, CHMM, or CIH) is highly preferred.
  • Deep working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR and EPA regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization to prioritize safety.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 management systems.
