Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs to ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Drive a proactive safety culture through training programs, workshops, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee environmental reporting, including air emissions, wastewater management, and hazardous waste disposal.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles into new capital projects.
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, insurance carriers, and external auditors.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership to drive organizational safety maturity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in EHS management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Professional certification (CSP, CHMM, or CIH) is highly preferred.
- Deep working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR and EPA regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization to prioritize safety.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 management systems.
