Responsibilities
- Develop and implement site-specific EHS policies in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses to mitigate operational risks.
- Lead root-cause investigations for all incidents, ensuring corrective actions are effectively documented and executed.
- Oversee hazardous waste management and environmental reporting procedures.
- Deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for employees at all organizational levels.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and oversee third-party environmental audits.
- Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing the facility's carbon footprint and water consumption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS leadership role.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) highly preferred.
- Deep working knowledge of federal and Texas state environmental regulations.
- Proven track record of building a robust, proactive safety culture.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and data analysis tools.
