Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs to ensure 100% compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk analysis to proactively identify and mitigate workplace dangers.
- Lead investigation efforts for all EHS-related incidents, ensuring root-cause analysis is performed and corrective actions are tracked to closure.
- Oversee environmental permits, waste management protocols, and emission monitoring systems to minimize our ecological footprint.
- Design and deliver high-impact safety training sessions for staff at all levels, fostering a 'Safety First' organizational culture.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to integrate safety protocols into daily workflows without compromising efficiency.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, consultants, and insurance carriers to ensure accurate reporting and representation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
- Deep working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive cultural change.
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in EHS management software and data reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting safety metrics to executive leadership.
