Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS programs to ensure 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and incident investigations to prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and environmental impact studies across facility operations.
- Provide expert guidance to site leadership on safety protocols and emergency response strategies.
- Manage hazardous waste disposal programs and environmental permitting documentation.
- Drive a culture of proactive safety through employee training, mentorship, and engagement workshops.
- Oversee health surveillance programs and industrial hygiene testing to ensure a healthy work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS leadership role.
- Professional certification required: CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager).
- Deep technical expertise in federal and state environmental regulations (Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in EHS software platforms and data management systems.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude with a proven track record of reducing workplace incident rates.
