Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs to ensure 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and execute corrective action plans.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and facilitate the implementation of preventative measures.
  • Manage hazardous waste disposal, air quality monitoring, and water discharge compliance reporting.
  • Facilitate high-impact safety training sessions for staff at all levels to foster a culture of hazard awareness.
  • Maintain and improve the facility's ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
  • Represent the company during regulatory inspections and serve as the primary liaison for safety-related inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM certification highly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA/EPA/RCRA/DOT).
  • Proven ability to influence organizational culture and drive safety behavior change.
  • Strong technical writing skills for reporting and standard operating procedures.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and EHS management software platforms.
