Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ).
  • Lead internal and external audits to identify hazardous conditions and provide actionable remediation strategies.
  • Facilitate comprehensive risk assessments, including Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and industrial hygiene surveys.
  • Manage the incident investigation process, conduct root cause analysis, and track corrective action plans to closure.
  • Oversee employee safety training programs, including LOTO, Fall Protection, HazCom, and Emergency Response.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, including waste management optimization and emissions reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies, insurance auditors, and local emergency services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing safety leadership role.
  • Professional certification (CSP, CIH, or CHMM) is highly preferred.
  • Deep working knowledge of federal and Texas state environmental and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to influence culture and lead change initiatives across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in incident data tracking and KPI reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex cross-departmental projects.
