Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce EHS policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct comprehensive workplace audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Oversee hazardous materials management, waste disposal, and emergency response protocols
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Manage regulatory reporting, permitting, and compliance documentation
- Lead sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction and waste minimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into operational processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field
- 7+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
- OSHA certification (CSP or CHMM preferred)
- Expertise in federal/state environmental regulations and safety standards
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon)
- Proven track record of reducing incident rates by 30%+
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing EHS teams
- Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB)
