You will work closely with executive leadership to drive compliance, reduce operational risk, and foster an environment where safety is integrated into every decision.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems and policies.
- Conduct rigorous site audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Lead root-cause analysis for workplace incidents and implement corrective action plans.
- Design and facilitate engaging safety training programs for cross-functional teams.
- Manage environmental permits and reporting, including air, water, and waste management.
- Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety best practices into daily production workflows.
- Prepare executive-level performance reports tracking key safety KPIs and sustainability metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS role.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive cultural change within an organization.
- Strong technical expertise in emergency response planning and hazardous materials management.
- Proficiency with EHS management software and data analysis tools.
