Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS programs to ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-specific regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement proactive corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement robust mitigation strategies.
- Deliver engaging EHS training sessions for staff at all levels to build a culture of safety awareness.
- Oversee hazardous waste management and environmental impact reporting protocols.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to integrate safety KPIs into daily production workflows.
- Manage relationships with external regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in EHS management within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
- Deep understanding of federal and Texas state environmental regulations.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence organizational behavior.
- Strong technical proficiency in safety management software and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present data-driven safety insights to executive leadership.
