Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-level environmental regulations.
- Manage employee training programs related to hazardous materials and workplace safety.
- Oversee environmental reporting, including air emissions, wastewater management, and waste disposal.
- Collaborate with cross-functional plant leadership to integrate safety into operational workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS environment.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
- Deep knowledge of federal and state EHS regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of improving safety performance metrics and incident reduction.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and data analysis tools.
