EcoCore Industrial Solutions is seeking a dynamic Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our expanding team in Houston. In this role, you will lead the charge in cultivating a 'safety-first' culture across our manufacturing facilities, ensuring full regulatory compliance while optimizing our sustainable footprint.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping our safety strategies, mentoring staff, and driving continuous improvement in our H&S management systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for all incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective actions.
- Design and deliver high-impact safety training programs for all levels of the organization.
- Oversee hazardous waste management, air quality monitoring, and water discharge compliance programs.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external regulatory agencies and emergency services.
- Manage the EHS budget and lead initiatives to reduce workplace injury rates by 20% year-over-year.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of direct EHS experience in a high-hazard industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA 1910 standards, EPA regulations, and ISO 45001/14001 frameworks.
- Proven ability to influence management and drive cultural change within a diverse workforce.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in incident tracking software and data reporting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental coordination.
