Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and training programs across all facility departments.
- Conduct regular site audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations to ensure strict compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-level regulations.
- Lead root-cause analysis for all safety incidents and develop corrective action plans to prevent future recurrence.
- Oversee environmental compliance reporting, including air quality permits, waste management, and spill prevention plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to promote a proactive safety culture and employee engagement.
- Manage external agency relationships and represent the company during audits and inspections.
- Analyze safety metrics and provide monthly performance reports to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EHS management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR and EPA environmental regulations.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead change management initiatives.
- Strong technical proficiency in safety management software and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective team coaching and incident reporting.
