Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and improve safety protocols.
- Manage environmental permitting processes, including air quality, water discharge, and waste management programs.
- Deliver engaging EHS training sessions for staff at all levels, fostering a culture of safety awareness and personal accountability.
- Coordinate with executive leadership to track and report on key EHS performance metrics and sustainability KPIs.
- Supervise emergency response drills and ensure the maintenance of all safety-critical equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in EHS leadership within an industrial, manufacturing, or energy environment.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) designation strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of federal and state environmental compliance regulations (EPA, TCEQ).
- Proven track record of managing safety culture transformations and reducing TRIR/DART rates.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in EHS software platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
