Responsibilities
- Policy & Strategy: Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s EHS management system aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and Ministry of Environment and Water Resources (MEWR) regulations, including Environmental Protection and Pollution Control.
- Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Incident Management: Lead the investigation of accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Training & Development: Design and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for employees at all levels to foster a safety-first mindset.
- Emergency Response: Develop and coordinate emergency response plans (ERP) for fire, chemical spills, and natural disasters.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate EHS reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Certification: Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EHS management, preferably within the manufacturing, construction, or logistics sectors in Singapore.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and environmental protection laws.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in EHS software and data analysis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence behavior change across diverse teams.
