Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust EHS strategies to maintain full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Manage environmental permits, waste management programs, and sustainability reporting metrics.
- Lead comprehensive safety training programs for all staff and contractors to foster a safety-first mindset.
- Oversee accident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership to integrate safety protocols into new project designs and workflows.
- Maintain all EHS documentation, records, and reporting databases with meticulous attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in an EHS management role, preferably within industrial or manufacturing sectors.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state environmental and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to lead safety culture initiatives and drive organizational change.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and data analysis tools.
