Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage environmental permitting, including air emissions, waste disposal, and water quality monitoring.
- Facilitate EHS training programs for all staff to foster a proactive safety-first culture.
- Serve as the primary liaison with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate emergency response planning and lead regular fire/safety drills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related engineering field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of EHS management experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM certification highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven safety reporting.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
