Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead and coordinate incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Manage the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, including environmental permits and safety documentation.
- Deliver engaging safety training sessions and workshops to foster a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.
- Monitor environmental performance metrics and drive initiatives to reduce waste, energy consumption, and carbon footprint.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and operational processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, or CSP/CIH is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, environmental laws, and industry best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven track record of successfully leading safety audits and driving positive culture change.
